If your looking for a great pop-up window Plugin for your WordPress website that works with all browsers look no further! Here are the instructions to add your pop-up window!
Here is a WordPress window pop-up that not only works in all browsers, but will appear when someone attempts to exit your site. We tried several, but one of the main challenges was finding one that was flexible and also worked on all browser types. Here is the one we found and thought we would pass it along to you and show you how to install it.
Step 1: Download and install MyFTP Plugin. You will need this to upload your Pop-up window html page. After installing, this Plugin will appear in your “Settings” menu.
Step 2: Download and install the FREE OptinPop Plugin. After you install, the creator of this Plugin requires you to subscribe to his email subscription and you will have to confirm your email before this Plugin becomes active. You can unsubscribe from this email at anytime. After installing the Plugin will appear in your “Plugins” menu.
Step 3: Create an image for your Pop-up with any image creator
Step 4: Create a html page with your image and/or text then upload it to your home folder using the MyFTP plugin.
Step 5: Adjust the settings using in the OptinPop feature in your “Plugins” menu. You can set the Pop-up to appear when people land on your page or when they try to exit your page (recommended).
To see this Pop-up in action, visit THIS SITE and then see what happens when you try to exit or leave the site.
