If you are not familiar with the Jetpack plugin for WordPress you may want to consider installing it. The Jetpack plugin has several features you may find useful.
The Jetpack plugin for WordPress at the time of this article has 25 different features, though you may not use them all, there are several that are extremely useful and beneficial. Here are a few of the free Jetpack plugin features that I believe you will find useful.
The JetPack Plugin is Also Very Easy to Install.
To install the JetPack plugin, go to Plugins –> Add New and then type “jetpack” into the search box. It’ll be the first result. Hit “Install Now”.
Once you've got the plugin activated, it will create its own dashboard nav bar menu right at the top left of your menus. Click into it and you’ll be taken to a page that looks like this:
If you do not already have an account with WordPress.com, from the top right of the Jetpack page, click the "Connect to WordPress.com" button and create an account by entering a username and password. Once you've made the connection you’ll activate all the features the Jetpack plugin offers.
Again, the Jetpack plugin offers 25 different features and you may or may not use them all. Below are my top 3 favorites that I have installed.
Publicize:
This allows you to connect your site to popular social networks and automatically share new posts with any or all of these social networks.

- Yahoo
It is as easy as clicking the Social Network and entering your user/pass. No complicated codes!
WordPress.com Stats:
Free Simple, concise site stats with no additional load on your server. This give you the most valuable statistics that you want to know.
- Views & Visitors Stats
- Views by Country
- Most Viewed Posts and Pages
- Referrers
- Clicks
- Search Engine Terms
The best part about the stats page is that it is extremely mobile friendly so you can easily check your stats from anywhere on your mobile device. Much easier to navigate than Google analytic on your mobile.
Subscriptions:
Another Free service that will allow users to subscribe to your posts and comments to receive a notification via email.
It will create a very easy to install widget that will collect names and emails for you, stores them in a database and every-time you create a new post or page, it is automatically and instantly emailed to your subscribers in a well formatted email.
Those are my personal top 3 features of the Jetpack plugin, but here are some other notable mentions that you may even find more valuable:
Notifications: Monitor and manage your site’s activity with Notifications in your Toolbar and on WordPress.com.

Contact Form: Easily insert a contact form any where on your site
Extra Sidebar Widgets: Easily add images, Twitter updates, and your site’s RSS links to your theme’s sidebar.
